August 31 -Teacher on Child Care Leave must notify District of return in February
Aug/Prior to first day of school: Selection of number of pays is due (if changing)
October 1 - First credit submission deadline
November1 -Enrollment for Preferred Medical Flex Spending Accounts and Dependent Day Care Plans
February 1 - Irrevocable Notification of intent to retirement June 30th is required for sick time benefit
March 1 - Second credit submission deadline
March 1 - Teacher on Family Hardship Leave or Leave Without Pay must notify District off intent to return
March 31 - Teacher on Child Care Leave must notify District of return in September
May - Enrollment in Health Insurance/Buyback/Working Spouse Rule
May 15 - MTA required to notify District of officers for following year
June 1 - Notification of assignment
July 1 - Reimbursement for NYSUT Member Benefits Ads
*12 months irrevocable notice of retirement required to qualify for Sick Time Buyout.
APPR
October 1-May 15 : Observation period for teachers covered under 3012-d
February 1: Tenured teachers that do not fall under 3012-d must be observed at least once by this date to be evaluated unsatisfactory at the end of the school year
